Making croutons is super easy and only requires a few ingredients that you normally already have at home. In addition to the old bread all you really need is olive oil, herbs and spices. Old white bread is very suitable for this. You can use ciabatta, baguette or any type of bun if made from wheat flour. But you can make croutons just like that without wanting to use up stale bread.
